About

A case for the overlooked

Sortjungleradarsor is an independent guide for travellers who would rather choose well than chase what's trending. We write about overlooked bases, smarter timing and local culture — and we try to stay honest about what any of that can promise.

Why this guide exists

Overtourism is rarely about too many people in a country. It's about too many people in the same few streets at the same few hours. We think the answer is not another list of "secret" places — a promise that tends to break as soon as it's published — but better decisions about where to stay, when to arrive and how to spend.

Editorial principles

  • No paid placements. We do not accept payment for including places.
  • Scepticism about "secret". We avoid promising empty places or exclusive access.
  • Local first. We highlight community-run options and local rules.
  • Safety stated plainly. Currents, roads and weather are part of the story.
  • Check before you go. Timetables, fees and access change; we point you to official sources.

About our imagery

Every image on this site is a conceptual 3D render: keys, ferry tickets, shells and miniature terrain forms on plain backgrounds. We use them as symbolic introductions to a theme, not as evidence of how any destination looks. That choice is deliberate — it avoids presenting a single flattering photograph as the truth of a place.
